Note the HP35639A software is a Windoze 16bit program not a napp (whatever they are) which will run on a 32bit PC using NTVDM in Windows 10 but thanks to Microsoft no longer careing for the old and infirm will not run in 64bit windows 10 ~ Unless you install a wonderful program called WineVDM (internet search for latest version)

HP test and measurement section was taken on by Agilent around 1999 and they supported the A35670A very well ~ so much so that I bought another newer one ~ Now the product is in the hands of Keysight (whatever they are) and although they claim to support the HP35670A they do not provide support for the very useful HP35639A software

It looks like Keysight have inherited a stack of spare parts from Agilent and will repair Agilent equipment like the HP35670A by swapping whole assembly boards at great cost to you but no one appears interested in supporting the software which could easily be ported to 32bit or even 64bit windows or better still made part of Keysight Bench View software

The HP35670A is a very versatile instrument with the ability to power vibration transducers and some B&K microphones directly up the coax using ICP ~ The basic instrument was very costly when new and the options were overpriced ~ The octave analysis option was about £1600 but all options are easy to hack by re-programming the eeprom U27 and second hand ones are getting cheaper

That said a 24bit ADC like those made by Virtins or RME or Antelope may be a bettter option for audio measurements
